Since the mechanics of managing an ETF are in many ways similar to managing a mutual fund, many of the existing mutual fund management companies are introducing and managing exchanged traded funds and other investment vehicles. Be aware, however, that some firms are more experienced with leverage than others, and the same can be said for inverse funds that move in the opposite direction of the underlying currency.
Having said that, to the extent that many ETFs are passively tied to an underlying index or exchange rate, the active management requirements are usually not too extreme except in rare cases.
